Al-Ahsa Hospital was established in the year 2002 with the efforts of the Al-Ahsa Medical Services Company, with the aim of serving the people of the community by providing high quality health care at an acceptable cost.

Al-Ahsa Hospital is a private hospital with a sophisticated design with the ability to expand in the future taking into consideration the healthcare trends in the region and the increasing demand for high quality services. The hospital building consists of five floors and a basement.

The hospital was designed as a general hospital that contains all medical departments, specialties, and advanced diagnostic equipment, and extends over an area of ​​50,000 square meters, as well as housing for doctors and nurses, a chapel and other service buildings.

On October 20, 2020, for the second time in a row in three years, the hospital obtained the renewal of the accreditation certificate from the Saudi Center for Accreditation of Health Institutions (CBAHI), which is the only official public authority authorized to grant accreditation certificates to all health care facilities operating in the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After passing a comprehensive, accurate and transparent evaluation process to determine the extent to which its systems, procedures, and performance comply with the applicable national standards pre-determined.

On October 25, 2019, for the fourth time in a row in three years, the hospital obtained the international accreditation for the quality of American health facilities issued by the Joint Commission International for Accreditation of Health Facilities Quality (JCI).

On January 10, 2019, the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) granted the accreditation certificate to Al-Ahsa Hospital, for the next two years in a row, for the second time in a row, based on the results of the field inspection carried out by the Committee as part of the college’s accreditation program. Al-Ahsa Hospital has become one of the facilities Accredited by the American College of Pathologists, which are more than 8800 facilities around the world.

On March 12, 2020, the hospital obtained confirmation of its compliance with the Food Safety Management System Certification Standards (ISO 22000:2018), after the second annual follow-up review visit by the Tough Nord External Audit Committee to the hospital.
