College of Dentistry, King Saud University. The college is ranked first among its peers among the dental colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where it was established in the year 1395 AH - 1975 CE, as the first dental college in the Kingdom, and its sisters from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The first batch graduated from this college in the year 1402 AH - 1982 AD, and it includes seven doctors, who continued their education to obtain higher degrees from outside the Kingdom, then returned to serve all of them as "dentistry", as academics and consultants at King Saud University and other universities in the Kingdom, and this college is still serving the country. Every year, dozens of male and female practicing physicians, and holders of higher degrees in the specialties of "dentistry", the college also contributes to the implementation of training programs for "certificates of specialization in dentistry".

The College of Dentistry at King Saud University is considered the first university institution for training in the field of dentistry in the Arab Gulf region. It has had great success in training male and female dentists who provide dental health care throughout the Kingdom. More importantly, many of these graduates from the College of Dentistry at King Saud University are now working as faculty members in dental colleges across the Kingdom. There are also a large number of them successful in private clinics. Also, there are doctors from neighboring Gulf countries who are now serving in their countries who have trained at the college

One of the departments of the Faculty of Scientific Dentistry, which teaches courses in the treatment and surgery of periodontal diseases and tissues surrounding the teeth, implant surgery, and courses in community dentistry. The department's academic interests include teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the joint master's degree program in the department's specializations and contributing to the certificate programs of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (the Saudi Specialty Certificate in Periodontal Diseases and Surgery). The department also has therapeutic interests through which it provides health care to patients in the specialized college clinic, as well as awareness interests that serve the various groups of society with the aim of raising awareness of methods of preventing dental diseases through various community dentistry programs.
