Al-Omran General Hospital in Al-Ahsa

Al-Omran General Hospital is located on an area of ​​79,450 square meters in the east of Al-Ahsa Governorate. It provides services to the people of Al-Omran city and the surrounding eastern villages with a capacity of 140 beds. The value of its equipment amounted to 80 million riyals, and at a total cost of 118 million riyals.

On the 22nd of Dhul-Hijjah 1439 AH, the Health Department in Al-Ahsa announced the start of operation of the first phase of Al-Omran General Hospital, which included the opening of outpatient clinics and includes surgery, pediatrics, nutrition, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, drug consultations, in addition to the home medicine department.

Also, (30) inpatient beds were activated for outpatient clinics in the departments of internal medicine, children and surgery, to be in addition to the services that were previously activated in the hospital and included (17) clinics, including surgery, children, nutrition, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, drug and ophthalmology consultations, in addition to The Department of One-Day Operations, the Department of Home Medicine, which currently serves 106 patients, the Day Care Department, and the Nephrology Department with a capacity of (30) chairs.

It also inaugurated the hospitalization departments in the hospital for outpatients of the internal clinics, pediatrics and surgery departments, with a capacity of (30) hospitalization beds, after completing their equipment with the latest technologies and medical supplies and preparing them with the necessary human cadres, which are among the stages of the gradual opening of the hospital according to the operational plan, which the Ministry of Health seeks through which To provide the best health services to the beneficiaries.

The director of the hospital confirmed at the opening ceremony that the follow-up is continuing and with vigorous efforts to complete the operation of the second phase, which includes the rest of the clinics and the one-day operations department, as soon as possible, and then the third phase, which includes the rest of the hospital departments in order to improve the health services provided in the governorate.

The Directorate of Health Affairs announced its intention to start operating the emergency operation of Al-Omran General Hospital to receive emergency cases after the completion of the emergency department’s readiness to receive emergency cases, except for cases of childbirth, gradually from seven in the morning until two in the afternoon during official working days.
